My project is focused on Hijab Women in fashion. It challenges discrimination based on appearance and highlights the essence of diversity in the Fashion industry.

In the words of Hameedah, a proud Black Muslim woman, and her content are centred around Modest Fashion, in regard to the question about discrimination, she highlighted on the deep discrimination being experienced as a Muslim Woman in the Fashion Industry, in her words, “I have been paid less because I was black and Muslim. Being a visibly Muslim woman means people would think you don’t belong here. Brands have refused to pay and only do gifting but offer lots of money to other non hijabi creators for content that I’d create better despite me having a better engagement rate and larger audience”

She also talked about her Hijab, she said “It’s also an identity in itself ; I like that I stand for something without having to say a word”
